This was a Christmas Gift for my bubby who could not resist and opened his gift early just so he could store all the new bottles of wine he is recieving for the holidays.

I bought this wine cooler a year ago and it never reached a temperature of 50F. The coolest temperature recorded was 65-67F. Although, this temperature was attained only when an external table top fan was pointed directly at the cooling panel and during cooler weather. The unit over heats when continuously plugged in. The "cooler" stores 12 wines, but it is not worth the investment to conserve expensive wines. The unit barely functioned for 1 year and now it no longer cools. There is a loud buzzing noise coming from the electrical panel and the lights on the digital panel flicker as though they are about to short out. Hold out for a more reliable product.

Strange, but it did fit under our cabinets; snug, but did fit. Still though, it looks better on a small black or wooden unit so you can put it where you want it. One on wheels is great. It just looks to bulky on our cabinets.

This countertop wine cooler has a total height measurement of 18 7/16 inches. The standard height for a kitchen countertop with cabinets above is 18 inches (in America) therfore, this wine cooler is not usable as a countertop wine cooler if you are going to place it where there are cabinets above the countertop. I suggest you look at the Danby 6 bootle countertop cooler that only has a height measurement of 17 inches.
This item is only usable as a countertop cooler if there are no cabinets above your counter.
When you get this item the picture on the box shows it sitting on a counter with a cabinet above , must be somewhere else in the world that dosen't have kitchen installation standards.
